A catch-all mailbox is one that collects all the email messages sent to non-existent email addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and in this way you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an obsolete email address or has made a spelling error. The negative aspect of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of unsolicited email messages, but this issue can be fixed using an anti-spam filtering solution. It is also crucial to keep in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all feature cannot forward incoming email messages to a 3rd-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Configuring a catch-all e-mailbox will be stunningly easy if you’ve got a Linux cloud hosting package with us. You can activate this feature through our advanced, yet intuitive Email Manager tool, which is included in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll administer the account itself. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you’ve set up enumerated alphabetically and next to each of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously tell you if a particular mailbox gets all the emails pertaining to a given domain or not. With a single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature at any moment. In case there is active email forwarding or in case some other mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you will get a warning from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically or without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The custom-created Hepsia Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server plan that we’re offering will permit you to create a catch-all email mailbox without any efforts even if you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each email address that you’ve created using your domain names in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will inform you if you’ve already set up another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding activated. If you decide that you don’t want the feature anymore, you can disable it by clicking once again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
